CyberSet is designed from the viewpoints of the producer, the creative designer and the cameraman. No wonder it's the most widely installed Virtual Set in the world with a rapidly growing customer base...
Extreme Flexibility
For the first time, cameramen can "work" a virtual set while focusing on their professional job and not on constraints. Moving freely, cameramen can use their standard dollies, steadycams, shoulder mounted or crane cameras. The pattern recognition technology eliminates the need for cumbersome studio installations, uncomfortable memory heads and clumsy robotic cameras. Camera position, orientation and lens zoom are extracted in real-time by CyberSet, using the video itself.
Access to the Best Computer Graphics
CyberSet provides access to the best computer graphics created to date for the broadcast world. It works with all popular 3D modeling codes such as SoftImage 3D, Maya, Alias Power Animator, Wavefront, 3D Studio MAX, Lightscape and more. CyberSet's powerful production tools, including Mapset plug-in, enables the operator to achieve a high impact, realistic presentation of sets running on the system. CyberSet's Virtual Reflection Editor, Virtual Shadows Editor, the Defocus feature and the Virtual Camera Editor are the channels to unmatched photo-realism, leaving "cartoonish" generation sets way behind. Model 3D graphic sets, assign texture maps to objects, design lighting, wrap video on objects and animate graphics - your imagination is the limit!
The Most Economical Solution
CyberSet is the solution that naturally combines both programming and budget requirements. It works with any camera lens; teleprompter; lighting and all video standards, enables the usage of the existing equipment. The same studio can be used for virtual and conventional productions with no change in studio routine. Installation and system preparation are easy and quick - no cumbersome, time consuming calibration and set-up. Further, CyberSet enables the construction of a very compact virtual studio including outdoors and mobile studios.
CyberSet does a way with interface to the production switcher and while a special unit supplied by Orad superimposes the camera ID on the video signal. The ID is interpreted by CyberSet and the switcher operates as in a normal production. CyberSet has an extremely open architecture and can interface with any data source, updated in real-time, including the World Wide Web, any 3D party control software, video source or studio automation system.
In short, using CyberSet saves the user TIME, SPACE AND MONEY!
