Corporate Social Responsibility Policy of the Company:
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, Corporate Social Responsibility Rules, 2014 made thereof & other applicable provisions if any, the Company is required to constitute a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (hereinafter referred to as ‘CSR Committee’) which shall frame and recommend to the Board, a CSR Policy indicating the activities to be undertaken by the Company as specified in Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 or any amendment from time to time.
For the proper management of CSR activities of Company & smooth functioning, the Company has constituted a “Corporate Social Responsibility Committee”.
The ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Committee’ of the Company consists of 3 members:-
1. Chairman 2. Member 3. Member (Independent Director)
To contribute at least 2% of the average net profits of the Company for the preceding three years (currently in vogue under the provisions of the Companies Act 2013) -
- to the institutions/organizations/trust(s) who are engaged in –
- providing assistance/financial support/relief to the people who are affected by hunger, poverty, ill-health, disablement;
- promoting education including special education, employment enhancing vocation skills among children, women, elderly persons;
- setting up homes and hostels for women and orphans, old age homes, day care centres for senior citizens;
- taking measures for reducing inequalities faced by socially and economically backward groups;
and for such other activities as enshrined in Schedule VII to the Companies Act 2013, as modified/amended from time to time.
Various Corporate Social Responsibility Activities & Expenditure thereon which the Company had undertaken during the financial year 2014-15 :-
The expenditure made by the Company for the activities in the area of Education , Healthcare for the year 2014-15 - Rs. 37.88 Lakhs , complying the limits as prescribed under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 and Corporate Social Responsibility Rules, 2014 of the said Act.
