Digidesign is excited to participate in the Bonnaroo Festival as the exclusive audio recording provider to the event's recording production company, Third Wave Productions. Third Wave is in charge of recording and mixing over thirty complete live performances for digital download on LiveBonnaroo.com. Bonnaroo is a three-day camping and music festival held on a 600-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, 60 miles southeast of Nashville.
Over eighty live acts are performing on six stages at this year's event, thirty of which are being recorded and mixed on Digidesign® and Focusrite® equipment. That gear includes two complete Digidesign ICON mixing systems with Pro Tools|HD® 3 Accel mix engines and multiple Digidesign 192 I/O™ and 96 I/O™ interfaces, as well as Digidesign PRE™, Focusrite OctoPre, and Focusrite ISA 428 preamps. Digidesign ProControl® and Control|24™ control surfaces will also be used during the recording process. A total of nine fully integrated Pro Tools® digital audio workstations will rest on the backbone of a six-terabyte Avid Unity™ MediaNetwork server which allows a flexible workflow suited to live events with multiple stages.
