Bomb Factory Releases Six New Products

Digidesign is pleased to announce six new Bomb Factory plug-ins made exclusively for Pro Tools TDM and LE systems: Pultec EQH-2, Pultec MEQ-5, Fairchild 670, Slightly Rude Compressor, Purple Audio MC77, and Cosmonaut Voice.

Providing state-of-the-art digital processing capabilities through vintage emulations and custom designs, these Bomb Factory plug-ins all support Pro Tools|HD Accel and sampling rates up to 192 kHz.

The Pultec EQH-2 and Pultec MEQ-5 - digital equalizers that look, sound, and behave like real analog EQ - join Digidesign's Bomb Factory Pultec EQP-1A in the Pultec Bundle. They provide smooth, sweet EQ and an extremely high-quality tube audio signal path. Like most studio classics, they're incredibly easy to use: Grab a knob, give it a twist, and experience exemplary sound quality every time. Existing owners of the Pultec EQP-1A may download the two new Pultecs at no charge.

Bomb Factory's exacting re-creation of the legendary Fairchild^TM 670 joins Bomb Factory's celebrated Fairchild 660 replica in the Fairchild Bundle. The original hardware version features an unusual form of vacuum tube capable of changing its gain dynamically. So in addition to featuring a tube audio stage like the LA-2A, the Fairchild actually achieves gain reduction through the use of tubes. Bomb Factory's no-compromise Fairchild replicas capture every detail of these legendary pieces of studio gear. Existing owners of the Fairchild 660 may download the Fairchild 670 at no charge.

The Slightly Rude Compressor^TM is Bomb Factory's first custom compressor design. Used conservatively, it sounds beautiful on vocals, drums, guitars, and piano. Pushed hard, it's unique and aggressive. The stereo version is specifically designed to solve the problems that often plague digital mixes.

Working directly with Andrew Roberts of Purple Audio, Bomb Factory has created a spot-on digital replica of his underground classic, the MC77 Limiting Amplifier. Bomb Factory went to great lengths to recreate the MC77 in software form, modeling every nuance from scratch. Between the Bomb Factory 1176 and the Purple Audio MC77, you have a choice of two distinctly different sounding Bomb Factory FET limiting amplifiers. Existing owners of the Bomb Factory LA-3A may download the MC77 at no charge.

Finally, Cosmonaut Voice^TM provides vocal processing that's truly out of this world. It features phone, CB radio, and interplanetary transmission effects.
